GX Superyachts, a brand of hybrid boatbuilder Greenline Yachts, has reached a new milestone on its 42-metre flagship model, with the debut GX42 now entering the final stages of outfitting ahead of her anticipated summer 2026 launch.

Construction is progressing at SES Yachts’ facilities in Istanbul, with recent images revealing the yacht taking shape as finishing works continue across key areas on board.

The lower deck accommodation and engine room are now largely complete, including guest cabins and bathrooms, while attention has shifted to finalising the owner’s suite on the main deck and the main saloon, which forms the yacht’s central social space.

On the sundeck, teak decking has been installed and is awaiting final caulking, with furniture, including sofas, tables and a Jacuzzi, due to be fitted. Electrical and electronic systems are also being completed in the wheelhouse.

“Build progress for the GX42 is right on target,” said Maurizio Magri, chief commercial officer at GX Superyachts. “Ahead of a summer launch, we are entering the exciting final phase of detailed interior fit-out, which means that we can finally see the finished yacht coming to life.”

The flagship of the GX Superyachts fleet has been designed by Marco Casali of Italian studio Too Design, who also worked alongside the owner of this first unit to create the yacht’s “family-minded” interiors. The latest images show Casali’s vision taking shape, with natural tones and materials chosen to reflect the yacht’s eco-conscious ethos, including walnut wood panelling contrasted with white leather and lacquer, alongside furnishings from leading Italian brands.

“To see the interior that we designed being brought to tangible life is deeply satisfying,” said Casali. “We always set a high hurdle for superyacht finish and precise detailing, but this first yacht from GX Superyachts is something else again.”

While the GX42 also comes in a Coupé variation, this owner has opted for the 353GT RPH (raised pilothouse) version, allowing for a larger master suite on the main deck with forward-facing views and a private foredeck terrace. A walk-in wardrobe, private office and large en suite complete the space.

Positioning the owner’s suite on the main deck frees up space below for an enlarged VIP suite with a private fold-down balcony to port, alongside three additional guest cabins offering flexible arrangements, including optional Pullman berths.

The in-build GX42 features a low-profile raised pilothouse design with a curved hardtop, incorporating up to 27kW of solar panels. The Coupé variant, meanwhile, is characterised by a long, curved superstructure with sliding solar panels that reveal a hidden sundeck complete with a Jacuzzi and bar. Both versions benefit from a beach club with fold-down wings and a hydraulic platform.

GX Superyachts aims to “set a new benchmark in environmental performance” with its serial hybrid propulsion system, combining battery banks and integrated solar arrays derived from the Greenline range. Each model is capable of reaching six knots and a range of up to 100 nautical miles in electric mode, with significantly reduced emissions compared to conventional yachts.

The hull design, developed by Francesco Rogantin of NAMES studio, also allows for “silent” anchorage for up to 48 hours, with onboard systems powered entirely by batteries.

The yard's in-build GX42 is a sleek, raised pilothouse version with a low-profile, curved hardtop to give a sporty profile with the added benefit of 27kW (max power) solar panels.
Meanwhile, the Coupé is shown with a long, curved superstructure roofed with solar panels that slide apart to reveal a hidden sundeck, complete with Jacuzzi and bar. Both designs benefit from a beach club with fold-down wings and a hydraulic platform.
